Body & Lifestyle Coaching

This personalised One-on-One training integrates various aspects of Yoga, Strength & Fitness Training, Nutrition and Life Coaching into a holistic new system designed to assist us on our journey towards optimal health and wellbeing.

Drawing on eastern wisdom and modern science, we assess a client's goals in relation to their current state & abilities, and then design a training program accordingly. Programs will vary depending on the individual but typically include a combination of stretches, integrated muscle building exercises & movement patterns, breathing techniques, relaxation and applied health & lifestyle discussions.  

During weekly sessions we explore the effects of Thoughts, Breathing, Hydration, Nutrition, Movement and Rhythm on the body, and their impact on our lifestyle. While there is much to learn, clients are encouraged to walk their own path and find their own personal expression of health and happiness.

 

Getting started...

  • Coaching begins with a 1 hour Body & Lifestyle Assessment, which helps in developing a suitable training program for subsequent sessions.
  • Clients should try to commit to at least a 1 hour session per week and be willing to put the techniques and principles taught during their sessions into practice in their everyday life.
  • It is recommended that clients alternate energy spending sessions with days of rest and recovery. On these days energy building exercises, such as gentle yoga, walking, swimming or tai chi can be performed to keep us active, while our muscles take time to regenerate.
  • Try not to eat just before your session. It is, however, recommended that clients bring a nutritious snack to eat within at least 30mins after training to help restore the body's energy and switch us back into a parasympathetic state.
